Another one for Yale alums:

Is this guy for real? The college system is part of Yale's character. It is why so many Yalies love their four years here. It is also, I would posit, integral to our larger sense of school spirit. We may revel in our college rivalries, but at the end of the day, Yalies do love Yale. Our football team did not lose because Yalies didn't rise up together and cheer in unison. It lost because it sucked. If you don't like the college system, go to Harvard, or better yet, Princeton.

UPDATE: The Captain writes in to remind me that Harvard has a House system. Indeed it does. And Princeton has an eating club system. My point was not that Harvard or Princeton would, like Calgon, whisk one away from the horrors of a group system. Rather, it was simply that ingrateful Yalies should go to those other inferior institutions.
